The purpose of the Care Ministry is to support individuals and families of our Spiritual Community during some of life’s most challenging situations. This is a loving, caring team of individuals who help bring ease and comfort during those times when the road can be bumpy, uncertain and challenging.  If an individual or immediate family member becomes ill or hospitalized, Care Ministry volunteers bring love, light and cheer, as well as a meal, ride or whatever may be needed.

How can you help

If you would like to volunteer with the Care Ministry, they are grateful to have you.  All it takes is a big heart, a willingness to help, and a readiness to act when called upon. Training and meetings are offered to maintain communication and needs.

If you need support from the Care Ministry, you may contact our Coordinator Susan Dauber directly through her email [email protected], or call the Church office (775) 826-0566.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring… all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
