The Ministry of Prayer of Center for Spiritual Living, Reno is comprised of all the LICENSED PROFESSIONAL PRAYER PRACTITIONERS. Individually and collectively, they pray for you and they pray with you.

What and Who are Prayer Practitioners?

Simply put, they are the healing arm of our Spiritual Community, personally living the spiritual principles we teach. They have had extensive training and experience in activating the power of affirmative, directed prayer to facilitate healing in individuals’ lives and by seeing and knowing the Truth in any given situation.

Prayer Practitioners have successfully completed all the requirements for licensing as required by Centers for Spiritual Living. This includes a minimum of four years of Science of Mind Class work, a written licensing exam, and an oral interview with a practitioner-licensing panel.  They are required to earn continuing education to keep themselves current and refreshed at all times. Their licenses must be renewed every two years.

Prayer Practitioners are active members of our Spiritual Community. They participate weekly in the Sunday services by “holding the High Watch” and leading the meditations; they record a prayer on our Inspiration Line every week; they conduct the Ministry of Prayer by praying for every prayer request, making sure everyone receives a letter of affirmation and confirmation; they do “spiritual check-ups” with members on an individual annual basis; they conduct a mid-week Taize service once a month; and they hold the spiritual consciousness for classes, events, activities and meetings.

How Can I Use the Ministry of Prayer?

The Ministry of Prayer is available to anyone and everyone. To enlist the help of Prayer Practitioners for a challenge you may be facing, you may do any of the following:

• Complete a prayer request card and place it in the prayer box in the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings and our Prayer Practitioners will pray for you for 30 days.
• Immediately following both services, there is a Sacred Space at the front of the Sanctuary where you can sit one-on-one with a Prayer Practitioner for prayer.
• You may send in a prayer request via email (prayer@cslreno.org) or call us (775) 826-0566, and we’ll begin prayer immediately.
• You may call our Inspiration Line at (775) 826-6966 for a weekly, recorded prayer by one of our Prayer Practitioners.
• You may directly contact one of our Prayer Practitioners for a private spiritual counseling session. This is a professional service so there is a charge for their time and expertise.
