Providing helping hands when they’re most needed…

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don’t live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here, too. ~ Albert Schweitzer

The CARE MINISTRY supports individuals and families of our Spiritual Community in the following situations:

  • Death. A loved one makes his or her transition. We offer emotional and spiritual compassion, comfort and support.
  • Illness. An individual or immediate family member becomes ill or hospitalized. Care Ministry volunteers are available to bring love, light and cheer, as well as a meal, a ride or whatever may be needed for the circumstance.
  • Major Life Challenges. May not necessarily be a death or an illness (maybe a baby is born!), but is a major life-altering experience for which support is needed.

If you are in need of the Care Ministry, just call the Church office and someone will be in contact with you immediately to help assess what we can do.

If you would like to volunteer with the Care Ministry, we are grateful to have you–all it takes is a big heart, a willingness to help, and a readiness to act when called upon. Trainings and meetings are offered to maintain communication and needs. Laura Arneson, RScP is the Care Ministry Leader. Contact us at careministry@cslreno.org.

This is a loving, caring team of individuals who are helping to bring ease and comfort during those times of our lives when the road can be bumpy, uncertain and challenging.
